Results: In the present study, 49 requirement papers in practical operative dentistry 2 course, 57 requirement papers in practical operative dentistry 3 and 50 requirement papers in practical operative dentistry 4 course were evaluated. In practical operative dentistry 2 course, class I cavity preparations had 8.2% compatibility to the curriculum and class II had no compatibility. In practical operative dentistry 3 course, class I preparations had 22.8% and class II preparations reported 35.1% compatibility ,but in class III and V cavity prepations, none of the student had done in accordance with curriculum. In practical operative dentistry 4, amalgam build up had 18% compatibility and composite restoration had 24% compatibility. Only in practical dentistry 3, there was no significant difference between the number of determined preparations in the curriculum and the number of accomplished preparations with the students (P-Value=0.108). Conclusions: It is necessary to adjust the curriculum according to the needs of the students, and thus, the teachers should modify their educating method according to these needs and the presented curriculum.
