<p dir="RTL"><strong><span dir="RTL">مقدمه:</span></strong> <span dir="RTL">مواد پاک کننده زیادی برای تمیز کردن و نگهداری دندان­های مصنوعی تولید می شوند.</span>با این حال، اطلاعات کمی در مورد دانش دندانپزشکان از این مواد وجود دارد. از این­رو مطالعه حاضر با هدف بررسی میزان آگاهی دندانپزشکان شهر یزد در مورد پاک کننده های دست دندان کامل در سال1394 انجام شد.</p>
<p dir="RTL"><strong>روش بررسی:</strong> در این مطالعه­ی توصیفی-<span dir="RTL"> مقطعی میزان آگاهی 113 دندانپزشک شاغل در شهر یزد در زمان تحقیق به­­طور تصادفی انتخاب شدند و میزان آگاهی آنان درباره پاک­کننده­های دست دندان با استفاده از پرسشنامه روا و پایا حاوی ده سؤال بررسی شد. داده­های جمع­آوری شده با استفاده از نرم­افزار آماری</span><span dir="LTR"> SPSS</span>نسخه 17 و آزمون آماری <span dir="LTR">T-test</span> تجزیه و تحلیل شدند. سطح معنی­داری 05/0<span dir="LTR">P<</span> تعیین گردید.</p>
<p dir="RTL"><strong>نتایج:</strong> <span dir="RTL">در این مطالعه 58 دندانپزشک زن (3/51%) و 55 دندانپزشک مرد (7/48%) شرکت داشتند. میانگین سنی 43/10</span><span dir="RTL">±</span><span dir="RTL">71/31</span> و دامنه سنی 55-27 سال بود. میانگین سابقه کار دندانپزشکی آنان 24/7±78/9 سال بود. میانگین نمره آگاهی آنان از مواد پاک کننده دست­دندان 97/4±42/9 با دامنه تغییرات 0 تا 27 بود. بین میانگین نمره آگاهی بر حسب سن (069/0=<span dir="LTR">P-value</span>)، جنس<br>
(228/0=<span dir="LTR">P-value</span>) و سابقه کار دندانپزشکی (270/0=<span dir="LTR">P-value</span>) ارتباط آماری معنی­داری وجود نداشت.</p>
<p dir="RTL"><strong>نتیجه گیری:</strong> نتایج نشان داد میانگین آگاهی افراد مورد بررسی در خصوص مواد پاک کننده دست دندان متوسط می باشد. لذا <span dir="RTL">ارتقاء سطح آگاهی دندانپزشکان با برگزاری کارگاه­های آموزشی در این رابطه ضروری به نظر می رسد.</span></p>
<p><strong><em>Introduction:</em></strong> A great number of materials are produced in order to clean and keep the complete dentures. However, scant information exists in regard with the dentists’ knowledge of these materials. Therefore, the present study was accomplished to evaluate the dentists’ knowledge regarding the denture cleansers in Yazd in 2015.</p>
<p><strong><em>Methods:</em></strong> In this descriptive cross-sectional study, 113 dentists were randomly selected working in Yazd, whose knowledge of denture cleansers was assessed through a valid and reliable questionnaire consisting of 10 questions. The study data were analyzed by SPSS (ver,17) applying t-test, and the significance level was set as P<0.05.</p>
<p><strong><em>Results:</em></strong> In the present study, 58 female (51.3%) and 55 male (48.7%) dentists participated with a mean age of 31.71±10.43 (ranged 27-55). The average of participants’ dental work experience was reported as<br>
9.78±7.24 Years, and the average of their knowledge score denture cleansers was recorded 9.42±4.97<br>
(ranged 0-27). The study results revealed no statistically significant relationship between knowledge of cleansers with age (P=0.069), gender (P=0.228) as well as dental work experience (P=0.270).</p>
<p><strong><em>Conclusion:</em></strong> Based on the findings of the present study, the dentists demonstrated a moderate level of knowledge in regard with the denture cleansers. As a result, promotion of the dentists’ knowledge seems to be necessitated via holding workshops in this regard.</p>
