Epidermolysis bullosa (EB) is the name given to the group of rare genetically diseases characterized by cutaneous and mucosal blistering which sometimes they leave scars too. In some kinds of epidermolysis bullosa severe blisterings occur after scares which make the oral hygiene practice difficult for them and their parents. Microstomia results from scares make the dental procedures difficult for dentists, too. In this way, this study reviewed the main types of this disease, oral hygiene care and possible periodontal treatment in epidermolysis bullosa.
